How to Get Started Selling Your Art
Have you ever tried selling your art? Last month I spent a lot of time talking about how to match your spending with your values. Often, when people write about money they focus a lot on the spending side. But this month I’m going to talk about earning--specifically about getting started selling your art, because I think a lot of creatives get hung up in the particulars.
A free resource to help you with selling your art
I’ve created a cheat sheet to help, called Keep Calm & Sell Something. Whether you're an absolute beginner or you've been selling your art for some time (but wish you were selling more of it), this cheat sheet guides you through specific steps to make the selling process more straightforward. Sign up for my weekly emails and gain access to the cheat sheet immediately. And, if you end up using it, please let me know how it goes!
Why is art important? (I can't believe I just wrote this.)
Art is everywhere, Art, right up there with love, brings joy, understanding, connection, motivation to take action, beauty, and meaning to our lives.
But most people don’t know how to make the connection between their need for art, and which art will fulfill their need.
That’s why it’s important for you to start trying to sell your art, if you haven’t already. Getting ready to sell your art will call you to be more visible, to talk about your process, your inspiration, the stories behind what you do. This is how your people will start to understand your art is the art they need. Setting yourself up to sell will turn you into a lighthouse, so the people who need what you do can find you.
Your work matters.
My individualized coaching programs support you in making income with your art
