Here's a secret
No one is living up to their ideal. Nope. No one. This includes Beyoncé.
How do I know this?
It’s a thing in psychology. We all have this construct we made up called an Ego Ideal. A picture of the person we’re supposed to be. A shinier, slightly smarter, much prettier, younger, less wrinkled and much more successful person than we actually are. You can read more about it here, but the short answer to WTF? is that we make it up in childhood and then forget it isn’t real.
